When Procrastination Pays Off – Back to School Sale!

Sometimes procrastinating (a.k.a. forgetting to order) a piece of curriculum pays off. In this case, there is one program, Visual Latin 2, that has been in my virtual cart for several weeks.

Spin a Story StoryBuilders – Free Printable

WriteShop is a writing program our family has been using for years and currently they have a FUN freebie for their subscribers: Spin a Story StoryBuilders.

I’ll tell you something I love about their StoryBuilders: we used a freebie like this many years ago (after nearly killing our girls’ joy for writing with another program) and it is what kick-started our girls back into creative writing and ENJOYING the writing process. One of them even wrote her own short book based on the StoryBuilder prompts.

It was something simple, but made a HUGE change for our girls, and for that I am so very thankful.

What if You Can’t Attend a Homeschool Convention?

One of my favorite things each year is attending homeschool conventions. Over the past few years I have been fortunate to be both a speaker and attendee and several different conventions across the U.S. – speaking with Teach Them Diligently and attending the HEAV Convention in Virginia. It’s been both amazing to share my heart but also receive and listen to speakers on a variety of topics.

But what if you can’t attend a local homeschool convention because of travel or the overall cost? If you would love to be encouraged right from a comfy chair in your own home, can I offer a solution?
