Living Montessori Now has some wonderful ideas for tactile nature letters (and some super cute pictures of her granddaughter as well). They made tactile letters based on the beginning sound (flower petals for f, pebbles for p). Be sure to visit and see the creative ideas.

This after gardening activity from Uno Zwei Tutu is so incredibly simple, but it is a wonderful reminder that EVERY activity can be a learning one with our kids. After trimming trees on their property, the cuttings were a wonderful tool to talk about the parts of a tree and then carefully peel the bark off the pieces to examine inside.
