My Goal for the month of April…

We have slowly, but surely, been getting back into our normal school routine. Next week should kick it up another notch as we add a bit more into our days, but the kids have been doing great and Laurianna just finished up her math program for this year and will start on the next level!

During the month of April I’m hoping to wrap up a few more Preschool Packs that I’ve been working on and now that we’re back in our school routine get myself back into my schedule and stick to it. I know that it seems like something that shouldn’t be a big deal at times, but it really helps me focus on the things that I need to do when I budget my time.

I pulled my schedule out, re-organized it a bit and have been flipping back through my copy of Tell Your Time What to Do by Amy Lynn Andrews. This weekend I’ll be wrapping up a few things I was working on and get back into the groove of time budgeting.

Ahhh…typing it out just makes me feel better! I’d also like to finish one book that I’m reading by Sally Clarkson, Seasons of a Mother’s Heart. I’d also like to put a good dent in my reading pile…but I have a feeling I’ll be slightly sidetracked once the nice weather hits and I have a chance to start working in our garden beds!

What’s one thing that you really want to do this month?

  1. Looks like some great plans for next month!

  2. Some very interesting new sponsors! Normally I wouldn’t pay as much attention to sponsor information but these are so on target for what I am interested in and looking for. Your site is just so great. Thank you!

  3. dynamightymom says

Hmm, I’m going to have to think about this one! I would say to finish getting our house organized and cleaned up. A few weeks back I donated six bags of old clothes and items we don’t need and are just taking up space and purchased a nice organization system for my son’s toys. With #2 coming and our very little amount of space this is imperative that I get this all together before I get too big to move for long periods of times :)

  4. Megan @ Purple Dancing Dahlias says

Oh, I so need to get it together, some days are great and others are flops. Thanks for the book suggestion! I love you blog, this was the first I have heard about workboxes and workstrips but it will be what we are using as soon as I can get it all together. Really, how do you do it all? I know I have a farm to run too but there just has to be more hours in the day!?

    • I really tend to work better under ‘pressure’ so having my hours
scheduled out and knowing what I am supposed to be doing helps me
tremendously. Otherwise, I get hugely distracted…and get little
      accomplished!

  5. The goal this month: finish up my coursework so I can graduate on May 11th!! Breathe..breathe… My son is almost done with his 1st grade curriculum too so we’re both pretty excited!

    • YEAH for you!!!! That is exciting, Julie!!! Praying that you can get it
all done in time ~ and with LOTS of time to spare and enjoy!

  6. I have to get out yard in order. So, my list is: cleaning out all the beds and putting down new pine straw in them; spray painting the rockers on the screen porch, starting to exercise using the Kinect.

    • ooo…you said the ‘E’ word.

      Exercise. ugh.

    • I always enjoy reading your goals! Well, your “E” word you mentioned above is like the “G” word you have in your goals for April–gardening:-).

This month my goal is to finish up scrapping my pictures to present, including having them in albums. I’ve only got half of 2010 till now to finish and order, and then I need to journal one more album from before I went digital.

And…I did so-so with exercise in March–I want to be consistent in April.

Good luck with all you set out to do this month!

  7. I go back and forth on graphics and purchasing them. At some point I’m sure I’ll be breaking down, but for now I’m going to check it out.

Of course, I do need to go and purchase those super cute graphics you found for my site, they’re way beyond cute!

    • you know you love those graphics!! I just love how inexpensive My
Grafico is!! And I find WAAAAAY too much there that I like! :)

  8. Great goals! I think April will go pretty fast. I’m having a 30th b-day party for my younger sister here next week, so I have tons of house cleaning to do. The only thing is, the house will get messed up again, if I do it too early!

Then we have a trip to Florida, then Easter and then it will be May before we know it! LOL!

Our MUS math program came in the mail today, so I would like to get started on that soon. I hope Abby enjoys it!
