Life…in a Nutshell

I mentioned that there was a possibility that we might be moving, and as of January 31st, that became MUCH more of a reality. Rick and I had planned a vacation ~ just the two of us ~ months ago, unaware that life was about to get a wee bit crazy.

We were beyond blessed that my parents watched our kids while we went away, even in the midst of house showings. Our vacation started with a bit of uneasiness as we didn’t have a solid offer on our house yet, but a few days into our vacation {and with internet connection being a bit sketchy}, we found out had an offer/contract on our house!

{Huge sigh of relief}

This entire last month has been such an amazing story to tell, especially since we had no intentions of either selling our house or moving! God has brought everything together so amazingly ~ and that is an entire story in itself!

Now we’re home from our getaway and the packing has begun! Our moving date is set for sometime this month {how’s that for a rock solid date??}. Needless to say, things are getting a wee bit disorganized around here, but we’re still working on school as much as we can and will be sharing still with you all when we can!

If I can find the computer in all the madness….

I’m not stressing about it too much and am really OK with it, which is huge for me. I pray that your move continues to go smoothly and pray ours will move along as quickly as yours did! Thanks for sharing your story!

    • I’ll be sharing more of the story soon! It was so NOT on our radar and I
just visited the house to humor my hubby. In fact, I’m the one that
pointed the house out to him, but really had no intention of doing
anything more. :) Gotta love God’s sense of humor!

  12. Congrats on getting an offer so quick! I hope that you were able to enjoy your time away, too! 14. wow! thank you for encouraging me with your story. i cannot wait to hear the details. just last week we found out we will be selling our house and moving(military) this summer. and it has to be a God thing for our house to sell in this market and for the right price. so just to hear that it is working out for you, encourages me to trust God alittle more. so thank you. and i am looking forward to hearing the details.

    • Just need to find the time to sit down, breathe, and share it! :) I’m
really not kidding when I say that it wasn’t even on our radar. :)

  15. Jolanthe,

When you “go missing” for a few days, it kind of cramps my style; I read you everyday. I knew you and your husband got away for some deserved time together and it sounds perfect especially since you came back to so much work (fun I’m sure). Congratulations on your sell and buy. I can’t wait to see pictures of your new home.

    • Haha!! :) I’m trying not to stress about packing and moving!! :) I’ll be
sharing the story of our house soon, but God has been SO GOOD!!!

  16. Have fun packing! Okay, I know that’s not fun. But, enjoy the dreams of your new home.

  17. I moved a lot–before children, when I was single. I cannot imagine moving now, six children (and all of the accompanying ‘stuff’) later. :D Praying the rest is smooth and easy. Excited for you!

    • Trying not to think about how much stuff we’ll be moving {grins}. Our
last move to this house we only had one kiddo and one on the way. We
have MUCH more furniture now….oh dear.

  18. Oh no, not the T word — transitions. :-)
I guess my idea to have you give my blog a re-do is going to have to go on the back burner? No worries. Blessings to you!
