Refueling…

I haven’t dropped off the face of the earth…although I have moved locations a little. I’m enjoying the perk of my husband’s business trip. Relaxing during the day. Spending time playing catch-up with school things. Writing reviews. Planning lessons. Reconnecting with my hubby.

So really, not so much resting. But it’s quiet and peaceful at the moment so things are getting accomplished and that is a lovely feeling.

But I miss my kiddos. :)

Cleaning Help with Toddlers

The lesson from Get Real With God: The Little Red Hen about allowing your kids to help was a good reminder for me. My son likes to take the broom from me and help me sweep, even if it’s in the opposite direction of where I just swept. It has been getting easier for me to just let it go and realize that he thinks he is being helpful and is trying to learn what I am doing by imitating me…. {Read more at the Totally Tots blog}

I’m curious what you all think of the new look here? I’ve finished most of it, although there are still a few sidebar items that I need to add back in.

And then once I’m no longer sidetracked…perhaps I’ll be back to posting about what we’re actually doing during our schooltime. :)

In the Works

If you notice things moving around and disappearing around here, I’m in the process of redesigning the blog layout. So just hang on! :) I’ve got the main part of it done, but want to have the complete package pulled together before it goes “live”.

It Only Seems Fair…

If the local school system has snow days, shouldn’t we be allowed to have a snow day (or two) also?

It only seems fair.

So we did. And we enjoyed them. Even though it means next week will be a little bit more crazy – it’s ok.
