We started out the week with a sick Kaleb and did manage to squeeze in some school time {and were really getting on a roll}…and are now in the midst of household chaos with lots of painting, scrubbing and house purging going on.

Instead of paper and pencil school, we spent time on field trips so that Daddy could get some things done without interruption ~ the library and the children’s museum being top on the list!

Depending on how next week goes, I’m REALLY hoping that I’ll be able to share another preschool pack with you!! I’m trying to wrap up some behind the scenes stuff before I post all about it too. Right now, focusing on our kids and keeping our sanity intact is top on my ‘to do’ list {grins}…but I do have some fun stuff in store!

We did squeeze in a few days of school time this week before some of the kiddos ended up getting sick…which then resulted in Mom being super tired.

Kaleb is VERY excited that Saturday we’ll be going to see VeggieTales Live this weekend and truthfully, I’m really hoping that we get to hear my favorite song ~ Bellybutton! If your kiddos love VeggieTales, you might want to see if they will be in your area since the shows will be through November 30th. Assuming that the big guys don’t scare him to death, we should have plenty of pictures to share! :)

Before the sickies hit, we spent a lot of time reading about pirates!! Kaleb has been fascinated with them lately, so we read and read and read. We also did a fun letter craft that went along with our pirate unit. Can you guess which of the following letters it was?

If you haven’t already, be sure to enter to win a GREAT resource book for moms of preschoolers ~ Homepreschool and Beyond by Susan Lemons. I have several copies of the book to give away to a few readers!

Hope you all had a GREAT week ~ and can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to!

We’re still working through a quick alphabet review with Kaleb and will start doing some more detailed units soon {that I can’t wait to share with you!!}. We’re also doing ABC’s at co-op and I’m teaching, so our weeks lately have been very full and I’m doing more than usual in preparing for 14 kids in my class this year. Definitely makes my 4 kids seem much easier. :)

Kaleb’s big highlight of the week is that he is finally reciting his Awana Cubbies verses to his teacher. He’ll say them for me at home and then refuses to say anything when he gets to church. He also drew a stunning likeness of me ~ you’ll have to check it out and see if you agree {grins}.
