My Goal for the month of June…

Our garden beds, planters and more are all finished and even starting to produce some great veggies for us {my goal for the month of May!!}, our standardized testing will be wrapped up today {hooray!!} and we are finishing up a few key areas of school and ready for a bit of a break!

I have a few goals this month in mind for myself…there are several preschool packs that I am working on finishing and pulling together {Wizard of Oz, Star Wars, a beach theme and more!} and Cindy from Along the Way is working with me on some artist studies/printables that have been put on a backburner until the last week or so.

Once we’ve finished up the bulk of school, I plan to just RELAX and breathe a bit!! I’m also LOVING the book Ministry of Motherhood by Sally Clarkson and having a wonderful group of ladies to read along with. Reading at a slower pace is really enjoyable and I’m gleaning SO MUCH from the book too.

Oh!! And did I mention that HOMESCHOOL CONVENTION is coming up???? Ahhh…the bliss. The wonder. The joy! This is going to be a wonderful month!!!

What’s one thing that you really want to do this month?

  1. We finish school tomorrow and I plan on relaxing (at least as much as possible with multiple appointments set for this month.

I can’t wait to see your Star Wars pack, they are a huge hit in my house.

Can you tell me more about Speekee? What does it cover? (ie, simple commands, body parts, colors, numbers, household items, etc?) We are looking at starting Spanish this summer and are considering Rosetta Stone and La Clase Divertida. But I like the price on Speekee! Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

  3. I plan to do your pond pack with my 2 & 4 year old. I’ve never done any of your packs before nor have I done home schooling with them and I’d like to start. We also have swim lessons this month so I’d like to work on my tan ;). I also have a few sewing projects I hope to make. Oh, and I’m going to attempt to make bread!

  4. Star Wars printable!?!  Can’t wait to see that!

  5. colleen_evelyn says

My goal is to take my little girls on a hike once a week now that our mountain weather is warm! I would love to hear more about your switch in writing curriculum. You had been using The Complete Writer series from the Well Trained Mind, right? What precipitated the switch and what are your thoughts?  Thanks! :)

  6. Megan @ Purple Dancing Dahlias says

what do you used for your standardized testing?

  7. Hi Jolanthe! I have followed your blog for a while and I home school as well. This following school year will be my 4th year. WOW! can’t believe it myself. I was trying to switch to Apologia Science curriculum, but I am a little confused as to where to start with it and I didn’t know if you knew anything about it. I will have one in kindergarten and one in third grade and would love to combine as many subjects as possible, one being Science. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

  8. I just stumbled on your blog looking for Book Report forms. I love it here! I just ordered a Kelly Kit. (I hope it is worth the shipping cost.:) We don’t homeschool, but  I consider jumping ship occasionally….
